What/ Who inspired you to ride?
My two older brothers, Finni and Ben got me hooked on riding when I was about 7. Since then I’ve spent a lot of time on the rig but nothing ever beats a day out riding with the bros.
What are your proudest moments/ accomplishments in 2024 so far?
My proudest moment from this year was for sure world champs in Andorra. I had such a good month of riding, chilling and a bit of family time coming into it which put me in such a good place both mentally and physically and I just had such a good race week. My practice sessions went really well, I was confident on the track, I was having fun and I pulled together a qualifying run I was really happy about. Then it was race day, I managed my nerves super well and was in a good head space for finals and just let her rip! To back up world champs from last year felt so good and I was lucky enough to have my Mum, brother and a few family friends there as well which made it extra special!
Have you had to overcome any challenges that made riding an obstacle at times? (i.e. Injuries, support)
The race season is pretty long so both last year and this year I’ve been away from home for over 6 months which is pretty tough for me. I grew up in a household of 4 kids so I’m used to having a lot of family around!
When I’m not riding you can find me climbing, tramping, (hiking) skiing, or doing anything outdoors!
Who would you like to thank?
My biggest thanks goes to my family.
They are all so supportive and help so much where they can. Mum, dad and my sister have put up with my bros and I skiving off and coming back home with broken bikes and most likely one of us bruised and bashed up. But they put up with it and have all supported me since day 1.
My eldest bro Finn has done so much work behind the scenes and without him I wouldn’t be racing my bike all over the world and having the best time doing it! So massive thanks to him.
