Over the weekend, Monster Energy partnered up with NHS Inc.’s Bronson Speed Co to put on the 4th annual Death Race at Tick Ditch in San Diego. It was a raw and intense showdown full of high-speed races, gnarly tricks and heavy slams, where few were left unscathed. One of the few was Monster Army’s own, Grace Marhoefer, who prevailed in the women’s races to earn herself the top spot along with some cash and a brand-new e-bike. Grace went head-to-head in multiple races with other female skaters to determine who was the fastest woman in San Diego. Grace held on during each race to secure the hole shot and take the win. Go Grace, Go!
Monster Army riders, Julian Jeang-Agliardi and Phoenix Sinnerton also participated in some races along with the cash-for-tricks obstacle builds alongside a few Monster Energy riders. While Phoenix got some tricks in on the bank-to-curb obstacle for some cash, Julian was all over the bump to ledge obstacle, rifling off multiple tricks amid all the chaos. Julian was able to walk away with some minor scrapes in exchange for an assortment of bills. Huge respect goes out to all who participated at the event, as it was not one for the faint of heart.
