Monster Army "Major" Birk Irving recently won the gold Medal at the Youth Olympic games in freeskiing halfpipe. The competition took place 3 days ago in Lillehammer, Norway. Birk scored a 93, but what is more impressive is that he did so with a fractured fibula. He sustained this injury a few weeks back at Mammoth Mountain, CA and was unable to train leading into the event. He still managed to pull tricks like a down-the-pipe flat 900 and walk away with the gold.
