Kyle Baldock and Pat Casey Dominate X Games Brazil

BMX Dirt Recap:
Kyle Baldock doubled up with two gold medals in BMX Park earlier in the day, and followed it up with another gold medal in BMX Dirt.
The young Australian dominated BMX today and impressed all when he moved into first during his second run with a corked 720, tailwhip spin to barspin, x-up, and tailwhip windshield wiper 360.
Baldock was the top rider throughout the finals claiming gold, and his second X Games gold medal. His double gold performance in BMX hasn’t been seen since 2006.
It was a BMX Dirt homecoming after a seven-year break from the X Games, and BMX’s best were all loving it.
“BMX came from dirt and I hope they bring this event back for every stop,” said an ecstatic Baldock.
Coming off of his earlier victory in BMX Park with little warm up, Baldock seemed relaxed and confident while owning the course with his effortless style anddisplaying technical mastery over the four jump course.

The Monster Energy team has taken two podium spots in BMX Park at X Games Foz do Iguacu. Kyle Baldock was the top rider throughout the finals claiming Gold and his first X Games medal, and Pat Casey impressed by taking a silver medal in his second X Games competition.
Baldock, Australia, dominated from start to finish throwing flair whips, double whips, and a backflip 360 early in the event. In thefinal heat he threw up two really solid runs to take a 74 earning him gold.Even though the runs in his heat were packed with tons of tricks, Baldock was consistent throughout the entire contest.
“First off, I feel fortunate we all get to be here in Brazil, and am excited to win my first gold medal in front of all these amazing fans,” said Baldock. “I can`t thank my family, fiancée, sponsors Monster Energy and Unit clothing enough.”
Casey was exceptionally strong in today’s event especially considering it was only his second X Games appearance. He took bronze in 2012. Casey was just points behind Baldock throughout the final session showcasing double tailwhip 270 transfers and stylish barspin flairs. The rider from Placentia, CA chalked up two 35’s for a combined 70 to earn his second medal at X Games.
“I am super happy with how I rode today and feel like I`ve got more for the upcoming events, said Casey.” The course was challenging, but it was good to put together smooth, consistent runs and land on the box with Baldock. I have to thank God, mom, dad and all my sponsors for their support.”
