Monster Energy’s Mirra meets the contest winners @ Camp Woodward (Pa.) and have the park all to themselves on their new Mirraco bikes!
CORONA, Calif., (June 19, 2008) – Monster Energy’s X Games BMX legend and now pro rally car driver Dave Mirra took some time away from his global schedule to meet with a handful of BMXers who recently won Monster Energy’s consumer promotion with Mirra, including a special edition Monster Energy/Mirraco BMX bike and a couple days of riding with Mirra at the famed Camp Woodward BMX and skateboard park.
“I was pumped for these guys that won Monster’s contest,” said Mirra. “We hooked them up with Monster/Mirraco bikes and rode for a bit up at Woodward, sessioned the park section and mainly messed around with some flat land tricks. The best part was just hanging around with the guys and telling stories. It was definitely a cool couple days up at Woodward.”
Before the ten Monster Energy/Mirra grand prize winners were even announced, Monster Energy and Mirraco gave away, get this, 100 custom Monster Energy/Mirraco BMX bikes. So Monster Energy drinkers all over the United States got hooked up BIG TIME, courtesy of Monster and Mirra’s bike company (check out the killer bikes in the photos). Once those guys were all stoked out, Monster Energy announced its ten grand prize winners – which not only included the special edition Monster Energy/Mirraco BMX bike, but also a free week long session at Camp Woodward and some private sessions with and coaching from Mirra himself.
“I never thought I would even win the first prize of the bike, not to mention the free trip to Woodward,” said Dan White, 25, from Michigan. “So on top of getting this bike, which was the hit of Woodward, I get to hang out with my hero and session with him.
“What an excellent thing for Monster to hook up.”
