Monster Army Skate Captain Freddy Ernst is this week's AOTW. Freddy is originally from Denmark and then moved to the states living in DC for 8 years. He now resides in California and this is what he had to say:

Who influences you and why?
-My influences are all my friends
that Iskate with because they motivate me the most, my family, and all my
favorite pros.
What/Who inspired you to skate?
-Seeing people skate in my
neighborhood inspired me to skate. I thought it was really cool! Skateboarding
was pretty big in Denmark. We had a mini ramp right next to the house. The guy
who cut my hair actually gave me my first skateboard and I just started skating
from there on.
What are some of your proudest
moments/accomplishments in 2013? Any big plans for 2014?
-Proudest moments in 2013 are
moving to California, getting hooked up, skating amazing spots and skate parks. Plans for 2014 is just to keep filming, take a couple trips and skate.
Have you had to overcome any
challenges that made skating an obstacle at times?
-I actually just came back from the
orthopedist and he told me I had to wear a boot for 6 weeks and do physical
therapy. I severely sprained my ankle. I've had a few broken bones. It's always
a bummer but you have to "pay to play."

What is your daily routine and how
do you get yourself prepared for a day of skating?
-My daily routine is just to hit my
friends up to go skate, go to a skate park usually and then go skate street. I
get myself prepared by watching some videos, drink a monster and go skate.
Where would you like to see
yourself in the next two years?
-I'd like to see myself progress a lot in skateboarding, put out a few parts, and hopefully get a couple more
sponsors and just to keep having fun skateboarding.
