The Monster Army was in full force during the first day of
racing here at Loretta Lynn’s. Early in the day, Mitchell Harrison took the
competition by storm, with a holeshot and a win in Schoolboy 2 (13-16) B/C Moto
1. In the same dominant fashion, he would later go on to win 250 B Moto 1 as
well. This left him with an end total of 2 Moto wins and 19 out of 20 laps lead
for day one. Running the same classes as Mitchell, was another one of the
Monster Army Recruits, Mark Worth. Mark struggled a bit with his starts
yesterday. However, in typical Monster Army fashion, he never gave up going
from 10th to 4th in 250 B and 6th to 3rd in Schoolboy 2 (13-16) B/C. Another
Schoolboy 2(13-16) B/C racer that has shown serious potential is Cameron
Cannon. Cameron charged from 8th to 5th today in the Schoolboy 2 (13-16) B/C
class, leaving us with 3riders in the top five of the class. Tristan Charboneau
had a good day as well, by getting a third place start in 250 B and making the
pass into 2nd on the last two laps. Moving on to the 250 A class, Chris
Alldredge held onto a strong second place. With his smooth riding style and
consistency, we know he has a great shot at a championship.
We had a fantastic performance in the Mini classes as well
on Tuesday. In the Mini Sr. Classes, Brock Papi managed a 2nd in the Mini Sr. 1
(12-13) class, and he charged from 19th to 5th in the Mini Sr. 2 (12-14) Class.
The Monster Army was in full force in the Supermini 1 (12-15) Class, with Sean
Cantrell charging from 6th to 1st and Tanner Stack taking a strong 3rd. Austin
Forkner also managed a 4th place finish in this class, and turned the fastest
lap time with a 1.59.565. To put this into perspective, the fastest 250 B time
of this day was a 1.59.452, only .113 of a second faster than Austin.
Overall, it was a great first day for the Monster Army and
we are excited to watch all of our riders battle it out the rest of the week!
